I knew of Dr Mee Lain Ling as she treated my Mother once for a bad back and did make a significant difference. She has a great demeanour, is very thorough and extremely knowledgeable and truly cares about her patients. My husband agreed to try Acupuncture around June of 2016 and when we went to his first appointment together, Dr Mee Lain Ling diagnosed him with blood stagnation. At the first appointment he had a BLACK ‘flying saucer’ shaped mark lengthwise in the middle of his tongue which was about 4 cm long and 1.5 cm wide.
She started treating him with acupuncture, cupping and herbs, as well as a number of changes in his diet, along the lines of an anti-inflammatory diet, with a few more restrictions. When he started treatment he had extremely dark blood, numb balls of his feet and numb toes, along with a fear of walking down stairs and instability walking on flat surfaces. She also recommended we get a larger roller for the backs of his legs and a foot roller for his feet to help with the numbness.
After about 8 months of treatments, typically every 3 – 4 weeks, he has improved incredibly, a friend said it was a 150% improvement. His treatment includes acupuncture, cupping, the aforementioned dietary changes and Chinese herbs and using the foot roller and larger roller twice a day. He went from holding my hand in a vice grip walking down a slight incline to walking fine on his own. He went from coming down the stairs on his behind to walking down the stairs normally, although occasionally one stair at a time. His memory has improved significantly. The mark on his tongue is currently very faint, light blue less than 5% of what it was originally. Dr Ling said if he had not come in when he did for treatments, she believes he was headed for Parkinson’s disease, and now, as long as he doesn’t retreat to his standard diet on a regular basis this will not happen. I honestly believe she saved his life.
She noticed that his dry cough was not improving and recommended he try out a spa/clinic called Salt Paradise which helps with detoxification and she felt would improve his coughing. It most undoubtedly has improved his coughing.
In addition to Dr Mee Lain Ling’s excellent treatment of my husband, she also treated me. I woke up one morning with sharp shooting pains in my left hip, after all the amazing things she has done, and is doing, for my husband, I immediately booked an appointment with Dr Ling. It turned out to be Kidney inflammation, and through change of diet, acupuncture, cupping, using the larger roller on my back twice a day, and Chinese herbs, I went from a pain that was a 9 out of 10 (where 10 was the worst) to 1 in 6 to 8 weeks. After the Kidney issue was resolved we discussed my menopausal symptoms and varicose veins. She recommended different combinations of Chinese herbs to improve my Menopausal symptoms, which are helping. I had surgery to have the veins striped in my right leg late June of 2016, primarily because the valve in my groin was not functioning well, my varicose veins improved after that, however, the Surgeon still wanted me to wear compression stockings for during the day. Dr Ling recommended I start using the foot roller twice a day and she believes I may not need to continue to wear compression stockings, period. So far it’s looking good, which is great as the stockings are not that comfortable!
She recommended I also go to Salt Paradise to help with further detoxification and a bit of a runny nose. It has definitely helped.
In addition, Dr Ling also knows of the best places to purchase products she recommends which makes finding them so much easier.
Over the course of both of our treatments, we’ve come to understand how incredibly knowledgeable she is and how well she understands and adjusts her treatments to each individual person, as not everyone reacts the same way to illnesses or treatments. We highly recommend Dr Mee Lain Ling, she is an ABSOLUTELY AWESOME Doctor!!! We have passed on our recommendations to a number of friends and acquaintances and will continue to do so. On a scale of 0 to 10 (where 10 is the best) we both give her a 20.
